Fall 2018 - Leopard Print

Leopard print is classic, but is certainly having a spotlight moment in the style world this Fall. I love animal prints and consider them essentially a neutral depending on how they are styled. I never advocate shopping according to trends, unless there is something current that you are drawn to, will combine with other pieces in your wardrobe, and that you can see yourself continuing to wear and love over the next few years. Remember, it is all about cost-per-wear! Here are a few leopard print pieces that are in shops at the moment that caught my eye. Each one I can see styled in several ways, multi-season. Let me know if you need any style inspiration or support! Click on each image to view the link, you can even shop on line.

This light layer would add some extra warmth and dimension to a look. I love that it is a twist on the classic leopard and would brighten up a gloomy, dark day.

I have a very similar pencil skirt that I picked up at Anthropologie last year. I love pairing it with pastels, neutrals, or the new hue of the season, Pantone's "Red Pear" (aka: burgundy). Also fun to partner with prints for a more bold look. The pencil skirt is a classic.

I love the understated print that is woven through this soft lace top. A great neutral with some interest!

This length of skirt is still very on trend and works well with so many body types. Would also work well with an ankle boot or pump type shoe. Love this hue with this skirt, but pastels would also look amazing as would a striped shirt...so many options.

An easy way to add in some print and interest in an understated manner. Would work well with denim or a dress. I am envisioning this paired with a floral dress...

A great carry all - a print with interest but could also serve as a neutral.

Love the heel on these and looks like they would fit close to the ankle which is always flattering. Cute with jeans and a plaid shirt!

Not loving the way this has been styled, but this boyfriend blazer would be a very versatile piece. Easy to dress up or down. I do like the graphic tee idea - but the hat, glasses and earrings are a little over the top. Hope you can see beyond it (I can!).
