Rainy Weather Style

A good friend lovingly refers to me as "umbrella lady" as I am known to usually have one available at an arm's reach. Joe Fresh has so many prints, colours and sizes. I like the mini ones that you can tuck away in a small purse or handbag.

This is certainly a trend piece - there are several out there at the moment. An easy way to have some fun with fashion, yet also practical given the number of rainy days we experience.

When I was young, I LOVED my K-Way and they still make me smile. They come in so many fun colours!

More of a fun fashion piece. Eye-catching and fun - why not show off some of that outfit underneath if we have days in the rain...

There is something about this shade of yellow that can brighten up even the greyest of days.

I have this rain jacket - picked it up at Nordstrom. Love the shape and it comes in so many different prints.

This Rains brand is everywhere at the moment. Great classic, yet stylish cut and comes in so many colours. PInk is so fresh and on trend at the moment which is why I chose to hi-light this one.

I discovered this brand Oka-B from stylist Carol Davidson in NYC. She owns several pairs - and after she tipped me off to them, my mum and I both ended up with a couple of pairs in bright colours. They are so comy, cute and eco-friendly.

A friend of mine has these Native shoes in bright blue - they look amazing. Love that they come in so many colours and textures...this is the look of velvet (yet is waterproof!).

A fabulous neutral with a hint of interest and shine.

Red in the rain seems like a perfect combo.

I am loving Jeffrey Campbell shoes at the moment. If heels are your thing - this could be your boot!

Hunter boots have become classic - love the added interest with this print (which has been so on trend this season but won't go out of style).

Western style boots are huge at the moment and this waterproof pair feel like a combo between western and Chelsea.

Classic Chelsea boot (but waterproof), will go with everything.

I am loving this Lemon Jelly line - I have a pair...and they smell like lemons and are so comfy. This style has added interest with a hint of texture.

Love the tie detail on these - also come in black.

Not only is this soft - it is one of the colours of the season "red pear" which pairs well with so many hues.

Navy is one of my favourite neutrals. You can definitely pair with black if you want a clean, modern look.
