Take care of your clothes! The Laundress is where I purchase all of my fabric care products. They are so effective and you need so little that I'm still on my first bottles.

When I was in college, one of my big hoops got tugged in a packed bar and stretched out the piercing. After that I was really nervous to wear my heavier earrings. (Oh the things that come back to haunt us!) But I found these patches that provide that little extra support I need and I'm back to rocking my statement pieces!

Sezane has some classic, but fun patterns in two different fits. This one is the more fitted Tomboy style.

This is Sezane's Max shirt meant to be a larger, oversized fit. Size down if between sizes.

The Bennet button-down is one of Anthro's bestsellers. Cut much longer than a traditional shirt, this one is great to use at the beach or even with shorts for some added coverage. JOIE: This brand has a range of chic, work-appropriate styles to more subtly bohemian prints. This v-neck style is especially flattering!

BODEN: Say it with me ... fun, full, floral skirts. Boden's got them in petite and tall lengths!

REISS: When this London atelier does florals, they are always incredibly soft and elegant!

ANTHROPOLOGIE: Remember that Somerset dress?? It also comes in a short version! The pictures don't do this one justice. This dress is actually more of mint color and is really beautiful with the neon embroidery.

ALLSAINTS: One of my favorite brands for those dark, edgy florals that look killer with leather!

TUCKERNUCK: Preppy classics with a feminine twist!

FARM RIO: If you're on the hunt for the boldest and brightest summer florals, Farm Rio is where to find them. This certified B-Corp has lots of styles that are 100% cotton, which makes them super comfortable in the heat.

Madewell makes lots of affordable, but long-lasting denim in a large selection of cuts and washes. They also offer petite and tall lengths. Madewell is a great store to go into to test out a wide variety of fits back to back.

This is one of the few times you'll catch me recommending denim with quite this much stretch, but honestly, these jeans look good on almost everyone! This style makes a great work pant and comes in petite and tall lengths.

Mother makes some of my favorite straight-leg denim. They're an investment, but I get so many compliments every time I wear them. (The Tomcat is the style I own.) Make sure you choose styles that are mostly cotton. The ones with modal in them are super soft, but don't seem to hold up as well.

DL1961 was always a TC favorite! A sustainably-minded denim company designing jeans that make your butt look amazing! Their Instaculpt styles use a 4-way stretch technology that make them really comfortable with great shape retention.

Got long legs?? Paige cuts denim, especially their bootcut styles, in nice long inseams (33+).

Okay, before you go hating on Abercrombie, hear me out ... they've done a pretty good rebrand! They have some reasonably-priced trendy denim, as well as fashion-forward basics, in a HUGE variety of washes and sizes. As someone who worked for Abercombie back in their heyday of logos and very preppy styles, I can appreciate the changes they've made to evolve their brand.

Everlane has some of my favorite cotton turtlenecks. They're lightweight and great for layering!

Floral or polka dot lace gives texture to an outfit and adds those feminine vibes.

Turtlenecks not your thing? Opt for a fitted tee with fun details.

Do you struggle to wear turtlenecks or tops with a high neckline? Try layering necklaces! They create the shape of a usually universally flattering v-neck. I wear my layering necklaces from GLDN either together or apart. Their pieces are gold-filled and are more resistant to tarnishing. (3 years in, mine look great!)I also like customizing my pieces. I chose a small "e" and a rose engraving for my grandmother.

Can't make it to a thrift store? Etsy to the rescue!

The Colette is one of my favorite pants from Anthro. Not only are they ridiculously comfortable and stretchy, but the same cut comes in lots of different materials and fabrications.

Polene is another one of my favorite non-designer handbag companies. Beautiful craftsmanship without paying for the label.

When it comes to investment items, shoes are the one place where comfort is absolutely key. How else are going to dance all night?! Based in Spain, Inez promotes an ongoing collaboration between comfort technology and artisanal craftsmanship.

Great leather jackets don't have to break the bank.

This shade of bright blue is a luxurious pop of color against black.

Rails makes THE softest flannels. (I'm not kidding!) They're lightweight and comfortable and great for layering. Looking for a more subtle seasonal staple? Opt for neutrals or monochromatic colors. (Recommend sizing up, especially for looser fit.)

Anthro strikes again with stretchy, flattering pull-on styles!

Faherty is another brand that I will likely be doing a spotlight on in the future! This wool skirt is lined and comes in sizes XXS-XXL, which is often hard to find in skirts!

I love Avec Les Filles for trendy outerwear. If you're a frequent Nordy or Rack shopper, they usually have a lot of same styles and you can often snag a one on sale or get a deal with your points!

Outdoor brands like L.L. Bean have some stylish options that will take you through the chiller months.

Liverpool always has lots of fun checks and plaids in an easy-to-care-for stretch fabric at a good price point.

For your wardrobe staples, J Crew always has classic, well-fitting silhouettes that they bring back every season.

Want to mix it up? Try a classic style in a non-traditional material like (vegan) leather!

At Trunk Club, we used to refer to this Veronica Beard scuba style as the magic blazer. This one is a splurge, but to this day, I haven't found a more universally flattering fit anywhere else! Available in extended sizes.

Albion has some really beautiful one-pieces that go well beyond the pool!

Summersault has lots of fun, simple options in bright summery colors. Sometimes simple and no fuss is the way to go.

This one-piece is actually straight from my own closet. I love how sexy, but comfortable it is!

Freya has great two-piece options for a full bust.

Everlane makes great basics and you can't go wrong with their classic cotton or linen button downs. Comes in lots of colors and they're moving all of their cotton pieces to organic cotton.

This dress is from one of my favorite boutiques in Old Town Leesburg. The owner selects and curates everything in the store and support lots of female-owned brands.

This shape is great for a full figure because it has good definition in the waist without being constricting.

I really encourage you to explore Nena & Co.'s website. The products are beautiful and the stories are quite moving.

Foldable and packable and great for travel!

I wanted to share Soludos with you because they are some of my favorite espadrilles to recommend, but they're entire product line is sold out on their site! Found a few on Zappos.

For a great classic white leather sneaker, I love Soludos! When it comes to white shoes, leather is always easier to keep clean. (My trick is keeping a couple extra Shout wipes in my purse -- just in case!)

This English brand started in 1905 is a personal favorite. Super comfortable, with a sporty vibe, they have everything from vintage classics to more fun and trendy patterns and styles.

SeaVees were a Trunk Club cult favorite! Shoe designer Steve Tiller found a forgotten pair of vintage shoes in a secondhand shop in Tokyo and revitalized the once popular '60s brand.

A chunkier fisherman's sweater helps add contrast against florals and daintier patterns.

A-line skirts are great options for work! Pair with a crew neck sweater and loafers for the office and a more oversized sweater and sneakers for the weekend.

Just like their moto jackets, Blank NYC has great suede options for an edgy vibe.

Chaus makes really comfy, easy-to-travel with styles that can be dressed up or down.

These suede jackets from Blank NYC have been my go-to for years! They come in lots of colors and add an edgy touch to simple outfits. Personally, I chose to wear mine without the belt to make it look less visually "heavy". Note that the suede is real leather and doesn't have a lot of stretch. I would recommend sizing up, especially if you have broader shoulders.

If you don't already have a denim jacket from me, here's your chance! I've found they are great staples in almost any wardrobe. Elyce and I have loved this particular jacket from Kut from the Kloth since our Trunk Club days. It has lots of stretch and is a great length for most body types.

For those of you here in DC where we often experience milder winters, a shirt jacket is a trendy option that will add a little extra warmth without feeling like you're going to sweat your buns off the moment you step inside. This style is perfect for tossing on with jeans or leggings when you're running errands. Keep in mind that this style from Quince is oversized! Would recommend sizing down if you don't want a large fit.

Cole Haan always has wool blend coats that make great wardrobe staples. This style was a steal at 65% off and available in a few neutral colors.
