RAG & BONE - I've owned these in navy blue forever...and the allow me to do edgy but functional and warm too!

MARC FISHER - very Isabel Marant - and the olive color is wearable with EH-EVERYTHING!

ZARA - beware! Most of their shoes are PU which means once they crack, it's over. The best bet is to level up to leather but if not and you want moto-inspired, this is your answer

This is equal parts insouciant and sexy!

ZARA - just love these and bought them but they are NOT made for outdoors or inclement weather!

ZARA - the python print and color make this versatile enough to rock with your browns and your blacks!

ZARA - if you want to be the life of the party or one of Bond girls, this is the way to do it!

MARC FISHER - OTKs (over-the-knee) have pretty much gone the way of the Samurai but there are a few left. Don't invest too heavily though...

SCHUTZ - if you wanted to do grunge at a lower price point, try these

GIANVITO ROSSI - showing these only because they're NAVY and that's a RARITY for boots!

WET KNOT - I have a rain hat this color so these seemed perfect! If I'm caught in a snowdrift they'll find me!

HUNTER - I'm a rain boot girl and Hunters are that! With a pair of thick socks, I'm ready to shovel the walkway... and why not do it with bright colors so I can look down and smile when I cannot feel my toes!

DOLCE VITA - there is NOT a boot more middle-of-the-bell-curve than this! Works with whatever

BERNARDO - never ever have I seen a pair of pine green, wood-heeled boots! Quality but not my color...

SAM EDELMAN - if you wanted a weekend boot that said you were up on the trends but not completely sold on them then this would be your bootie

PROENZA SCHOULER - these are just different enough to stand out but the color is a neutral so 100% wearable with lots, and the heel is very manageable!! WINNING!

MICHAEL KORS - it's says I'm fun but I play it safe too!

GIUEPPE ZANOTTI - I love this stretch bootie strictly for the heel

BALENCIAGA - if you have a thing for Kanye...

STEVE MADDEN - it's a mesh bootie but a bootie! I imagine this with a leather dress look or even a denim skirt + turtleneck for extra umph!

SERGIO ROSSI - if boots or heels are not your thing then this is!

REBECCA ALLEN - these made Oprah's Xmas List and have been selling out! This designer will be our host for Blueprint's holiday style event this year!

STUART WEITZMAN - you want something that catches the eye but also is flexible enough to work with lots of stuff...this is it!

MISSONI - it's wild but just different enough to catch your eye and make your outfit!

FRYE - if a cowboy and riding boot had a baby, this would be it!

PARIS TEXAS - quietly slipped onto the high-end scene years ago and haven't let up! This is suede but looks like denim...

MANGO - these are the ONLY pair of dress up boots I own. I haven't found a scenario where they don't work!!!

Same as the other but if you want to be daring...a little bit with the royal blue sole!

SOREL - another cream boot but the heel is block again, orange so it pops, and the rubber sole means you likely will remain standing even if you lose your footing

IRIS & INK - respect this boot because it's army green (a neutral), the heel is tall but block so 100% wearable, and the tall shaft makes it ideal for those who are not the most graceful on stilettos!

DOLCE VITA - these are for my West Coast and warmer climate ladies who need a bootie! Light denim, manageable heel, ready for edgy fun dress up!

GIANVITO ROSSI - they are peep toe but still considered booties! When do you wear them? I went to spa 'soft launch' - and saw five pairs. BOOM!

MOON BOOT - I stand by my statement that Ugg's are just imitation Moon Boots! The original only in gold + glitter!!

MANGO - when you say "classic riding boot", this is the image we all conjure up - only this is less expensive

STUART WEITZMAN - if you have a wider calf, this boot is YOU! It's equal parts everyday and classic

MANGO - if you needed to do a "farm chic" wedding, you'd start with these!

ISABEL MARANT - think "French" and cowboy boot...and you've got the Dulma!

TIMBERLAND - the original "workboot" and they'll never be replaced! They don't make the one I love but this is a great runner up for the rugged woman who is doing shoveling, or outdoor work!

SOREL - I have a client doing winter vineyard tours so this boot does equal parts 'stomping the grapes' and fashion-forward versatility!

OPEN EDIT - somewhere along the way, white boots became the rage...skip it! But if you love it, opt for something ivory that gives you more options. This wedge is priced under $50!

MANGO - if you hate tall boots and just want one pair, get these in black (not the silver!) to go with skirts, pants and everything in between. Also ideal for those who aren't really doing "winter" but may see some cold

EILEEN FISHER - this is a three-fer! It's got a wedge for style, gripping sole for functionality, and it's a knit bootie so will add to the overall fashion of the bootie! A great all-round winner!

UGG- the ubiquitous slipper boot and I can only assume people buy these because they don't have an alternative. Now you have options so skip these...

IRIS & INK - nearly perfect for any occasion whether pants, skirt, culottes, or denim. Just make sure to winterize them first and add rubber sole!

JIMMY CHOO - edgy but fem moto boot. Find another lug sole boot that can actually stand cold weather that has pearls!!

SOREL- the Joan boot that is made for winter, as in lots of snow (skiing, ice fishing, tobogganing, etc)
