If Flats Were Fab!
What are "flats"? They were invented BEFORE heels and they created a way for women (and men) to prance around more comfortably. I am NOT a fan of flats but these flats are FAB! Please note: I consider flats to be any footwear whose heel is under 40mm and/or has a sturdy platform (for stability in times of manic/gratuitous rushing).

NATURALIZER - I'm adding this to the list because it's chic (the d'orsay styling does that instantly) and very comfy.

Ally- so Forbes says they’re some of the best and fellow stylists swear by them! They have a comfort insole, and I love that they have an actual teeny tiny heel, the toe cap is pointy but not overly so, and they have lots of colorways including this two-time beauty. A good bet!

Bally- these are big girl flats! They come in three colors, and it's the patent leather, pointy toe, and white contrast heel that make this EH-verythang!

Sarah Chofakian, a Brazilian designer who is 20 years into the game. Her leather is handmade and this one gives you a feminine style and line with a little extra because of the d'orsay and cross-hatching. And it comes in 4 other colors!

Blue Bird Shoes - a little metal never hurt anyone. If you're going to do a basic black loafer, here's a way to step it up!

Camper - known for more outdoorsy shoes. This is decidedly more masculine but the tow-tone color and trim make this a standout

Alexandre Birman - the big sister to Schutz has created a gem. Their signature is the flat bow which looks more decorative than preppy (yay!), and this is navy which is always a winner in my book!

Sam Edelman - technically "pump" but towering at 1.5 inches, it could be considered a high-flat! And they come in lots of colors and are an easy consideration

Aerosoles - don't sleep! They're comfy but the two-tone color of these flat slingbacks is giving me Chanel vibes without the wallet pain!

Margaux NY, two suburban chicks make shoes and they're very Rothy-like (a point, rounded toe, a mule, a loafer) but these have a little interest because they're woven and give you a little 'indifference' for warm weather days in an office

Birdies - a comfort shoe brand but I love these because the color and pattern is modern, crisp, and gives you the option to dress it up for evening

Tods - a little buttoned up + has a little wedge but great versatility with the two-tone leather
-

Tods - they are technically sneakers but the patent leather and structure make them ready for the office (especially with a nice pair of trousers)

Zara - if polite with a nod to the fellas is your deal then a suede loafer is you! It's a nice balance between loafer and driver...also is a nod to the Gucci loafer as well
-

Bernardo - love the rounded square toe box so it's a true "ballet flat" but can go to work and give you a little spice too!
-

Coach - if you are price-sensitive, this is a win all day. It reads slightly gamine but also comes off a little buttoned-up and school teacher but could be spiced up a touch!

Bells & Becks, Italian brand. This is a flat-ish...but gives instant elevation and savior-faire to any outfit (and a little bit of 'old money')
