I couldn't decide whether to put these in the trouser jean section of curvy but chose curvy. These have a wider leg (like a trouser) so shorter tops will look better.

Pretty much every body type can wear a trouser style jean (if you can wear trousers you can wear trouser jeans!). The key is in how you style it. Don't wear anything too long with it or you will look like you are drowning in fabric. And, they are best worn with a heel to extend the leg line AND they must be worn very long (longer than the model above)--only about 1/2" off the ground in the back.

Here's another example of a straight leg pull on jean. It, too, has back pockets and again they ride a bit low so check the rear view before you decide if you like them.

JAG pull-on jeans are great and they do have back pockets so you don't have to wear them with something long necessarily. It is shown here in a straight leg version but they also have skinny and bootcut. Very comfortable although sometimes the waist gaps on curvy bodies. And, the pocket placement is very low so if you have a flatter butt, these are not good for you--the low pocket will make your butt look even flatter.

These jeans do not have back pockets so you will want to wear something long enough to cover your butt. Also, I had to have the waistband taken in a bit, but once I did they fit perfectly and are comfortable.

If all else fails (or you don't want the butt-lifting technology), simple add width through the pocket design. Flap pockets add volume and the point in the flap brings the eye higher on your butt to give a visual lift.

At a moderate price point, these jeans are great for some curvy women and the flap pockets are good for a woman who has a slightly flatter derriere. The skinny flare is also gaining popularity as a trend--the flare is not so overpowering that it will look outdated quickly. Great for balancing curvy bodies.

These are available in regular and petite sizes. They are called a 'jegging,' but as you can see they are not particularly tight to the ankle--they fit more like a slightly skinny or tighter straight leg. Since that is the case make sure they hit below the ankle or your legs will look shorter. Some curvy women find these fit well.

Too short. Or, they need to be slimmer around her ankle. These make her legs look short (which maybe isn't a huge problem for her since she has super long legs, but for most people it will not be as flattering as wearing them longer.
