Jeans for 3 Autumns

Jeans are such a fundamental piece of clothing that the viewer allows for far wider mix-and-match opportunities than with the same colour in other types of garments - a good thing for Autumn palettes (people), where the true blue content is not high. Jeans are easy for Autumns for having a natural vibe and a muted colour in the authentic textile, both feelings being right at home with this colouring.

Good. Medium dark overall, muted, and coppery warm.

Opposite to the jeans above, this colour was not a good energetic match for an Autumn wardrobe. With True Spring or Light Spring, the picture improved significantly.

At the upper end of darkness for True Autumn, or beyond, perhaps better for Dark Autumn. Placed here as a reminder to mention that 1, dark teal is more common in the palette than navy blue but because of the nature of jeans, these can be fine with the rich, warmth of True Autumn, and 2, that bodies tend to handle darkness outside their range in colour better than in black.

A warmer blue for the warm Soft Autumn or True Autumn. As the blue gets warmer with the addition of yellow, it becomes greener. The colour is too soft for a True Spring, the jeans (the body) will appear heavy and dull worn with a True Spring wardrobe.

For True and Soft Autumn. The colour is definitely softened/muted. The jeans look functional, not slick, or unicolour.

True Autumn need not go any darker than this. Traditional copper stitching is excellent on all Autumn jeans, adding the feelings of endurance and history that are so genuine in these palettes.

Colour contrast is lacking. The warmer Seasons look terrific when they wear several colours, especially complementary colours, together. It looks energized, natural, active, and dimensional. This jean looks too monochromatic. It is also too dark and too blue for True Autumn. Cooler than they are warm, yet slightly smoked, this colour works at the lower end of the saturation range for Dark Winter.

Just fine. As muted as they are blue. A slightly warm blue that will showcase the beautiful yellows, corals, and greens of this colouring, with a final look of balance in the upper and lower body.

Soft Autumn. On the light side of Autumn and with more gold content, this colouring can give a lighter impression than Soft Summer.

Soft Summer. We are looking for warmer and more saturated colour for the Autumn collection. Placed here as internal calibration.

Though our client's request was for blue jeans primarily, sometimes a colour or style deserves mention for looking as good or better. Leather jeans may serve media better than real women's bodies, but on Autumn, in the right colour, they can be as at home as cowboy boots.

These balance nicely with the black shoes and the brightness of the top, for Dark Autumn. Looking at the back view, too warm for Dark Winter's cooler colours, and too faded looking on that person compared to what they could do for a Dark Autumn body.

Just great. Nice and dark and rich. Copper stitching. These with a Merlot cashmere sweater and scarf, a great belt, a great plaid coat, the kind of layering that Autumn basically owns.

Good. Looks like something Wrangler would make, rather than a company with a New Age label.

Believable on a horseback ride. Nice and dark with definite muting. Beautiful Autumn complements in blue and orange. Could easily anchor espresso, molasses, hot chili paste, clove, and a gorgeous bittersweet red lipstick.
