If you enjoy a shirt with print and color, opt for colors that compliment each other, but can mix with different trousers. This would work well with khaki, brown, navy and denim. This is also a great layering option under sweaters or jackets to add a touch of detail to a solid piece.

I look for shirts for my clients with design detailing. Do not let your navy button up fall flat, nor have it too flashy with a subtle print shown here.

For the Man who loves color. For a more conservative office keep the detailed cuff hidden, but take it day to night by unrolling and showing a bit of extra style. Great with a navy sports coat.

An AoS client favorite this season. The texture and fit works nicely with stocky builds, and the variation of lines balances out a broad chest.

Nordstrom line of shirting offers a comfortable fit and fabric that is offered year after year. Once you learn your fit it makes it easy to select quickly. I like the black mother of pearl buttons.

The under tone of green here compared to a blue gray gives this shirt a color twist. This is for men with darker hair, as light hair with be washed out with the green undertone.

For the colder months this is how we do flannel in the office. Keep it distinguished with a finer thread count and handsome color.

A black shirt is necessary for all closets, but this black has depth to it which keeps it from becoming too formal.

Steven Alan shirts are continuously a favorite. They offer there fits in decadent fabrics that never shy of details. Wine is a must have color of the season, pair it with black, gray, navy, chocolate brown, and denim. If you are going to add one color to your closet this season I recommend you add a wine base.

Polka dots can be fun for the right attitude in the office, but keep the subtle and in the same color palette as the base of the shirt keeping it from becoming too playful.

This Brooks Brother Half Zip was a golden find. I love a half zip for every build, because you can control how open you keep the neckline. It is great to layer, but also as a stand alone piece. This is a blended fabric of cashmere and cotton ( NO WOOL) aka ultra soft!

The simple detailing in the stitching on the sweater gives it a little something extra. Also at the under $50 price point, its a friendly addition to the closet.

Notice how the ribbing at the bottom also does not appear to fitted. You want it to skim the body, not cling.

This blazer from Johnston & Murphy has angled pockets which are flattering to the build, balancing out the slope in a man's shoulder. There is also a subtle definition in the fabric, making the suit jacket not fall flat.

An easy fine knit sweater is a great extra layer for the office. Available at many retailers, this one is from Club Monaco, known for their sophisticated style and luxurious prints. I also like the Banana Republic, Bonobos and Johnston Murphy options.

Handsome and ultra Cool! This sweater has style and practicality. It can be tricky to wear a simple sweater to the office, but the distinguished style pairs well with a chino and loafers for an office winter look. Also is trim enough to the body to wear with a winter sports coat.

Fidelity '50-11' is my go to denim for any client. It fits generously through the hips, with a long rise, bring it higher on the waist.

The Joe's Brixton Denim. The Brixton fits a narrow straight leg. The 'naked stitching' and no fading makes this an office dressy denim.

The AG 'Hero' is for my muscular client. If you have larger thighs, the way the denim is trimmed in at the knees and skims to the ankle balances out the fullness in the thigh.
