Like this longer style by Mango. The vest is also a huge item this Summer - paired together makes a chic look, but both versatile Summer staples.

I have a couple of pairs of these Everlane shorts in my Summer wardrobe which I have worn the past 4 or 5 Summers. Great for everyday casual wear.

I just purchased this higher rise flowy linen pair from Gap recently. They aren't too short and have a nice wide leg opening, which I feel flatters my more full thighs.

Very fun shorts suit from Canadian designer Hilary Macmillan. She makes beautiful pieces and is very size inclusive. This could be broken up and worn so many ways.
